93. (Jesus speaking:) Has it not been said that eight things a comet doth bring? You would do well to review these points. I indeed bring these things as a sign. For I have said I will give signs in the sun, and the moon‚ and the stars. Disasters shall come, and I shall use these as a means to bring people to Me, that they may look to Me. I use these signs as signs of My coming, for those who will discern the signs of the times‚ for those who are looking for signs.
94. Also, as the sun and the moon and the Earth must be in alignment for there to be an eclipse, so must you be in alignment with Me. I am aligning the older generation and the younger generation with My Spirit to perform a spectacular sign. For this generation seeks after a sign. But you must yield to Me and let Me move you, let Me guide you, as I guide My planets and My stars to bring about these signs.
95. So yield to Me and flow with Me, and I will bring these things to pass. For you are a light unto this world, and I have made you for this purpose. Continue to follow Me closely, that My light may reflect from you, that others may see and understand.
96. Signs and wonders I set in the sky to warn the world and to encourage My children. Many things a comet doth bring—winds, famine, plagues, death to kings, wars, earthquakes‚ and change. Change in many ways. Look around you. Is this not so? Are these things not happening in the world‚ all around you on every side? Fierce winds are blowing, widespread famine‚ earthquakes in diverse places, plagues and scourges one upon another, death to kings, mourning and sorrow, war and more war throughout the lands, fighting and killing‚ blood flowing through the streets!
97. Many things a comet doth bring, and many things My Heavenly messenger of '96 doth bring upon the Earth! Those who have ears to hear, let them hear. Those who have eyes to see‚ let them see and behold, that they may discern the signs of the times. And as My Heavenly messenger of '86 heralded the Antichrist reign of the Last Days, so I send this, My messenger of '96, to herald My conquest of all the Earth! For this comet heralds change—direful change to those who do not discern the signs of the times! On the one hand, I mark with this sign the downfall of the kingdom of Satan. And on the other, I mark My mighty conquest—the coming of the Kingdom of God!
104. All things come of My hand, and I do all things in perfect synchronization and harmony. And this is My sign, to mark the beginning of My final conquest, the beginning of a new era, when young and old are joined together in holy matrimony. Hark the herald, and let it be known, there is a wedding in the land! A union made in Heaven! A wedding of the generations! This is My plan‚ orchestrated by Me to accomplish My will and My purpose. It is a fixed marriage, arranged by Me since the beginning of time, that through this sacred union, My Kingdom will reign forevermore! Let it be known that this union, this wedding, is ordained of Me, that it may bring about My final conquest of all the Earth!
105. So join forces together to finish the course, to run the race, to break through to final victory, going forth to conquer the giants of this day! It is a world conquest through love—through My love divine! The day of conquest is at hand, as I‚ through you, conquer the world!
106. All things are ordered by Me. Think it not strange that I would mark this event with My messenger from on high. For I say this once, and I say it twice, and I say it yet a third time: This meeting, My Summit, is the greatest happening in all the Earth! For these gathered together represent My Family‚ My truly yielded pieces in My great chess game—those who come and obey when I call, those who are willing to come, to lie stripped and to bare all before Me, those who drop everything, who forsake all, who are willing to abandon all cover-ups, who yield their ears, their mouths, their tongues, their bosoms and their hearts wholly unto Me. And so do I fill with My Spirit, and fill with My seeds, that they may bear fruit unto Me. So can I use them to accomplish the purpose of My will of conquering the world.
107. I set My comet in the sky to mark this special event. For as I join together young and old today, so do I prepare to thrust these out, that My message, My truth and My love may spread throughout the land. I send My messenger to proclaim the news abroad.
108. These are the ones who go forth to conquer the giants of this day—My faithful ones, My little ones—little in their own sight, yet mighty in Mine. These are My children‚ My buxom Bride, My passionate lover, My secret weapons‚ through whom I will conquer the world!
109. Behold, this Summit is as an inauguration day! Behold, My Kingdom comes! It is a conquering of the lives and the hearts and the souls of men. For as these are each touched and set free, so will I turn them loose on the world, to go forth, to conquer, and to pave the way for My coming.
110. I am at the controls and I send forth My comet to mark the beginning of the end! Those who have eyes, let them behold‚ that they may discern the signs of the times. Silly, foolish man with trinkets and toys, leaning to his own wisdom, calculating and trying to figure out here and there, why this and why that! What does this comet mean? Will it hit the Earth here or collide with a star there? These are they who do not discern the signs, for I have hidden My truth from the wise and the prudent, from the proud and the unyielded, from those who are seeking after other gods, and who do not seek the truth.
111. Yet I set these signs in the sky as a sign to those who will look up and hear, that I may reveal unto My children the simple truth! That when you see these things coming to pass, you may rejoice and be exceeding glad, knowing that your redemption draweth nigh! Look up and be encouraged and know that this is a sign from Me. For I will conquer the world‚ through you, My beloved children, My most precious Bride!
112. We are on the road to final victory, and it begins with you, and in you, and through you, as you unite in heart‚ in mind, in body, and in spirit; as you allow yourselves to be molded together in My love, yielded wholly to My Spirit, that I may hurl you out to claim the land. So look up and be encouraged! Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. It is I Who will strengthen you! I am helping you! I will uphold you! So fight on! The day of march has come!
113. I am your Sun, and you are My moon, lighting up the world with light that shines in darkness. So do I set another sign in the heavens to illustrate this truth. For though the Devil would try to gobble you up in the shadow of his darkness, he can never win. It may look like he has won for a little while, yet just as the moon escapes the darkness in the course of the eclipse, so you, My precious children, escape the darkness that has sought to hold you down.
114. I ordain this time, this gathering at My Summit, as a turning point. As you look at the eclipse and see the darkest hour, when the moon is hid in total darkness, keep looking and you will soon see that it lasts but a little while before the tide turns and the white light of the moon once again appears, as it begins to escape from beneath the dark shadow of Satan. So this gathering marks a turning point for you—the beginning of escape from the dark clouds of discouragement, of doubt, of despair, of fear, of worry, of burdens too heavy to bear that have covered you up for a little time.
115. This, My Summit, marks the turning point‚ as you escape and move on to gain greater victories through the lessons you are learning and the whispers you are heeding; through these strong bonds of love; through this melting of your hearts and molding of My Spirit; through this sacred union as you are wed to Me and to each other, as we lie in the bed of love together, as you receive My seeds and bear fruit unto Me.
116. Know that through this freedom of My Spirit, just as the moon escapes the darkness that it may once again burn bright and light the sky, so you shall escape from beneath the dark cloak of Satan that would attempt to hold you down, that you may glow and shine forth the bright light of My love throughout the Earth. For you are My moon, reflecting My light, and I hold you up for all the world to see. The Devil can never win, as long as you keep fighting. This is the beginning of new victories! Keep shining and lighting up the sky. Keep burning bright for Me, and I will be with you as we go forth to conquer the world. (End of prophecy.)
117. (Mama:) Isn't that amazing? If you want significance, if you want symbolism, if you want to know God's mysteries, He's revealing these secret things to us. He is trusting us with great wisdom and knowledge and treasures from His Heavenly storehouse. He is giving us the keys with which to discern the times and the seasons, and He's showing us what a very important part we have to play in the Endtime script.
118. The Lord says that, "On the one hand I mark with this sign the downfall of the kingdom of Satan. And on the other, I mark My mighty conquest—the coming of the Kingdom of God." He's marking the beginning of a new era when young and old are joined together in holy matrimony. With this coming together of the younger and the older at the Summit meeting, and the joining of hearts and spirits, the Lord has done a thing of great significance. He said this is so important that through this binding together of both generations, His Kingdom will be able to reign forevermore.
119. We know that unity between the younger and the older generations is extremely important for us to work together effectively, but in the Lord's eyes it holds such monumental importance that it is absolutely essential, and there is no question about it. If we want to fulfill the purpose for His Endtime Family, and if we want it to usher in His Kingdom, we must be united. The generation gap must be closed. There must be no division among us.
120. The Lord is waiting for His army—His Family—to be joined together in love so that He can use us in the conquest of the whole world, as He‚ through us, conquers the world with love. We are His beautiful Bride—the ones through whom He will conquer the world! He says, "I will conquer the world through you, My beloved children‚ My most precious Bride."
121. The Lord says this is a turning point. Just as the moon, which reflects the light of the sun, is sometimes overshadowed by the darkness, so have we, who reflect the Lord's light, sometimes been in the shadows. But this is the beginning of our escape from the dark clouds of discouragement, doubt, despair, fear, worry and burdens too heavy to bear that have covered us up as a Family for a little time. Through these strong bonds of love with each other and our precious Husband‚ we are going to experience the freedom to once again burn brightly and light up the sky! We're His moon and He's going to hold us up for the whole world to see!

23. (Jesus speaking:) Behold the explosions of the Spirit! Behold the explosions of hot, passionate love in the hearts of the children of David! This love shall burst forth in great brightness! It shall draw the attention of many‚ for so few have seen such love‚ such sacrifice and giving and unity and oneness of heart and body, and rejoicing of spirit, and clasping of hand with hand between the older and the younger generation. For this is a day when the old are pitted against the young, and the young against the old. This is a day when Satan drives them further and further apart. So by comparison, this love which is exploding in the hearts of the children of David will shine forth brightly for all to see!
24. It is as a chain reaction of explosions, first beginning in the heart of David and Maria, then in the hearts of David and Maria and Peter, then in the hearts of Maria and Peter. Then they did ignite the hearts of their generals and young leaders, and the repercussions of this explosion are like the fire that travels down the fuse igniting bomb after bomb after bomb, as it travels from Home to Home and heart to heart!
25. This is just the beginning of one of God's great explosions—an explosion of the Spirit, freedom, love, intimacy, and great fruitfulness! You have felt the excitement in your heart and in your spirit. You have sensed that something great is happening during this meeting of hearts and minds in which you stepped away from the business and pressing needs of the Kingdom to seek My voice and My direction. You have sensed that this is a turning point, that things will never be the same again—and this is true! For the brightness of this explosion will enlighten the land and warm the hearts of all your children who are open and receptive and hungry!
26. Open the door for Me to be able to strike the match and light the fuse and begin the chain reaction of this great explosion of love! It has already traveled from heart to heart‚ uniting one with another, uniting you all together in one heart, and in one mind‚ and in one body. So shall this be the case throughout the Kingdom.
27. There shall be a great cleansing, a great washing, and a great renewal! God's explosion shall blow away the old—the hardness of heart, the resistance, the discouragement, the feeling of not being needed and used. It shall blow apart and blow away all the hindrances of the past, and in its wake shall come the fallout of showers and showers of blessings!—Greater unity, love, communication, sweetness of spirit‚ tenderness of heart, more working together and sacrifice and understanding, and a greater supply of one another's needs, spiritually, emotionally and sexually.
28. No more shall My people feel lost‚ or alone, or too old, or too young. For this great explosion of Mine will unite the hearts and minds of My Bride as never before! As King Peter and Queen Maria pour forth their love, and sacrifice their time and personal preference for the sake of the Kingdom, they shall feel a great flood of love returning unto them. For this explosion shall break the dams and burst forth the dikes and unplug the plugged channels, so that the water of My Spirit and love and freedom may pour forth freely and abundantly!
29. You shall hear the rushing of many waters as the streams of My love pour freely throughout all the land! My children shall ride effortlessly upon this stream of water, and it shall carry them to their destination. All this shall be the result of the great explosion in the hearts of David and Maria and Peter!
30. Lo‚ this is the beginning of the day of passion, the day of freedom, the day of the fire of My anointing, the day of the flood of My Spirit! This explosion shall open the windows of Heaven, and I will pour upon the children of David the anointing that they have sought for, that they have cried out to Me for, the anointing that they know they need for the days that are to come.
31. This is the threshold, the beginning of a new era, when old things will be passed away and all things will become new! You shall see Me move as never before! You shall receive My blessing and My Spirit as never before! It shall be manifested in great fruitfulness, great supply of your needs, and great protection.
32. So go forth speedily to carry the torch and light the fuse and continue the chain reaction of this great explosion! The King's business requires haste, and I am ready, willing‚ and even eager to pour forth the flood of My blessings that I have promised! (End of prophecy.)

25. (Jesus speaking: ) Lift up your voices in praise, as do the holy angels and all the departed spirits that are encamped round about My king and My queen, for a great victory is won this day! The old is united with the young! The first-generation fighters are united with the second-generation warriors! It is a day and a cause for rejoicing, for through this union shall come great strength in My army. There shall come a great strengthening and purifying of the ranks, a great preparation for the days ahead.
26. There is great need for the hearts of all My children of David, both young and old, to be united as one, to become of one mind, one heart‚ and one soul—to see that there is no longer a generation gap, but there is one Family, one army, one body of My children of David.
27. They are learning to look upon one another with great respect. They are learning to recognize the anointing and gifts and callings of one another. They are recognizing their need for one another, and seeing the great joy and pleasure that they find in working together, loving together‚ seeking Me together, leading My people together. They are learning to lean upon one another, to open their hearts, to bare their souls, to share their innermost secrets, to show their weaknesses and their strengths. They are learning to need one another, to call out to one another, to reach out, to lift each other up.
28. This uniting of the two generations at the top will be the beginning of a mighty flood of love and unity and power that shall wash over the hearts of My people and shall cleanse them from their bitternesses, their resentfulness, their distance from one another. It shall create within them a desire to reach out, to understand, to give, to receive‚ to love, to feel compassion, to honor one another, to show respect and appreciation, to speak words of love and kindness and encouragement.
29. This is My day and hour for the uniting of the two generations! For only in unity will you have the strength needed for the battles that lie ahead, for the dark days that are to come, the time when the Enemy will walk about as a roaring lion, more fierce than ever before! Only through great unity‚ love and respect will you be able to withstand the onslaughts of the Evil One and his people.
30. Each generation is strong in its own way, each generation has much to give, and each generation is in great need of the other. They must be molded and melted together if they are to have the strength and power and anointing needed for the days to come when the battles will be great, and only those who are loyal and strong and brave will be able to lead the way.
31. This uniting of heart and mind and soul, this marriage of spirit, is crucial. It is of utmost importance! It is one of the most important results of this time together in My Spirit, when these have sat at My feet and heard from Me and drunk deeply of the well of My Truth, when they have opened themselves up in humility and allowed Me to wash them clean so that I might make them what I wish them to be.
32. All of this feeding and cleansing and purifying and strengthening is for a purpose. It is to join these precious ones‚ My generals, together in one heart—no longer as two generations, but as one Family with one heart and one mind before Me.
33. (Dad speaking:) We're talking about One Wife, about how there doesn't need to be two generations, but you can be one in Jesus. You can be one in the spirit if your hearts and your minds are united; if you're working together toward the goal; if you're fighting together; if you have respect for each other‚ you communicate, you appreciate each other, and you know the need that you each have for the other. That's what we're talking about.
34. The Lord calls it a marriage of the two generations because He wants you to see that it's long-term. It's enduring. It's a lifelong commitment. You're in this for the long haul, until death do you part. You're going to be together fighting for Jesus.
35. The whole point is that people should open their hearts—that the young people no longer look at the older generation as the "old ones," the "has-beens," the ones who are so conservative and who have made so many mistakes. And the old ones should no longer look at the young ones as those who are not dedicated enough, those who are too wild, those who are problematic.
36. They need to look at each other with love and understanding and respect, so they can each learn from the other and make a powerful team for the Lord. Both sides have to do their part. The older generation will need to open their arms and their hearts to these young people to receive them with joy, and the young people will have to come in humbly. If they see this in each other, their fears will be allayed. The older people will not fear that they're being pushed aside and not wanted, and the younger will not fear that the older ones look down on them or are jealous of them. (End of message.)

54. (Jesus speaking: ) Unity comes from the power of God! Unity is a gift of God. Unity is the manifestation of the Spirit of God. Unity is a reward.
55. As you give of yourselves, as you sacrifice your time‚ your strength, or your loved ones for the needs of others‚ you are rewarded with unity. When you love each other and you're willing to humble yourselves, to apologize, to take the low seat, to give the other the benefit of the doubt and to hear them out; when you're willing to work together, even if sometimes you have to sacrifice your own personal desires or preferences, you are rewarded with unity.
56. If you're willing to flow with changes in the schedule, to stand in the gap for somebody who's not feeling well or who has to take care of an emergency; if you're willing to cheerfully care for the children, to minister to contacts, to go out witnessing; if you're yielded to the nudges of My Spirit when I encourage you to give affection and show love to those who are in need; if you're willing to communicate with those of the other generation, to listen to their thoughts and feelings and point of view and not be so stuck in a rut or so convinced you're always right; if you're willing to let your mate or loved one love someone else and supply their needs for sex, affection and companionship; if you're willing to take that single mother into your fellowship‚ into your family, into your heart, and into your bed; if you're willing to be a foster parent to the young people who need you; if you're willing to discuss and pray together and hear from Me together; if you're willing to work hard together to reach the goals that you have set unitedly—for all of this I will bless you with unity!
57. Unity is in itself a great blessing, for with it comes the happiness, the warmth, and the joy of My Spirit. Unity is a blessing in itself because it makes you a better testimony to outsiders. They marvel when they look at your communal living. They know and admit that it's a miracle, that something supernatural is happening in your Home for people of so many different walks of life and different generations to be able to live together in such love, harmony and unity.
58. Unity is a reward in itself because you don't have to suffer the stress and strain and discouragement and condemnation that comes through arguments and discord and not getting along with one another. You don't have to feel that bummer, that tense, uncomfortable feeling that comes up when there are problems between you that are not resolved. So unity saves a lot of time and stress and just generally makes life in your Home much happier!
59. Unity is a reward in itself, because when you're reaching out to those in need, whether it be the young people, the adults‚ the children, the single mothers, the single brothers and sisters, your own peers and friends, or your teamworkers; when you're willing to give of yourself, to be a friend, a companion, a lover; when you're willing to take your time to talk to someone who's lonely, or to make someone feel needed and important; when you're willing to open up your life and give your time to that child who needs a foster father; when you're willing to help that troubled teenager who's so confused and seems so rebellious—all of this brings with it a certain satisfaction and reward of spirit.
60. When you give in this way, even though it may initially be a sacrifice and it may hurt, it's not long before you see the rewards, and it becomes so obvious to you that you did the right thing. You can feel My love in your heart and you have a sense of accomplishment‚ a sense of fulfillment, a joy and satisfaction in knowing that you made somebody's day brighter, you helped to lighten their load, you helped them not to give up. Through performing these little acts of love and unselfishness to bring unity, you are blessed personally with happiness that can't be taken away. It's not fleeting or dependent upon the circumstances‚ but it's a gift that I give you—the happiness of knowing that you have been a blessing to someone in need.
61. So you see, unity has many, many rewards in itself, but the rewards do not stop there. There are other rewards‚ greater and more magnificent ones that you don't even see, because they happen in the world of the Spirit, the world that is invisible to you. But this world does not need to be a mystery to you, My precious brides. Because of your yieldedness and your hunger, because you create a vacuum to know, I will reveal to you now the workings of this magnificent spirit world, so you will know and understand the importance and the power of unity. You will see why I lead you down the path of unity, and even though it may seem a sacrifice to you‚ you will know that it is worth it‚ it is necessary, and it is an important, unmistakable part of My plan.
62. Unity is the power of God! Unity is not just a manifestation of God or a reward of God or a blessing of God, but unity is the power of God! The greater the unity, the greater the power. If you would be powerful, My people—a powerful witness‚ a powerful testimony, a financial power—then you must have unity. For these other blessings of God—provision, protection, supply, fruitfulness—will be given from My hand in direct proportion to your unity.
63. Heaven is unity. Unity is Heaven. Here in My Heavenly Kingdom there is perfect unity. The more united you are‚ My children, the more you will experience Heaven on Earth! The more united you are, the more people will see a living example of My Heavenly Kingdom.
64. Unity pulls down Heavenly light, Heavenly love, Heavenly strength! Unity pulls down the riches of God! Unity opens the windows of Heaven so that you can ask what you will, and it shall be given unto you. Unity is the power of God to create‚ to love, to answer prayer. Unity is like a force field of protection. Unity is like an endless pot of gold that never runs dry! Unity is like a river of love—rich and full and free!
65. Unity is one of the secrets to the blessings of God. To be unified in love and obedience to Me and My Word is one of the greatest drawing powers on the Spirit of God.
66. For this reason, the Enemy fights unity! He has a band of fallen angels specifically trained and designated to fight, attack, and destroy the unity of the children of David. He is not ignorant of or blind to the power of unity, so he has taken some of his strongest demons and charged them to destroy the unity of the children of David. His attacks are subtle. They are not usually blatant, because this would alert you to the fact that it is the Enemy attacking. Instead, he works through ways that seem to you to be reasonable, understandable, logical, so you can easily explain away or justify your lack of unity.
67. If you're bitter about mistakes of the past or the way someone treated you‚ you don't see this as an attack of the Devil on your unity. Instead you see this simply as the fact that you are right and the other person is wrong.
68. If you're from the first generation and you don't get along with your children or the young people in your Home or city, you don't see this as an attack of the Enemy on your unity. Instead you feel that the young people are just being ridiculous, extreme. You think they're not dedicated enough, they're too worldly, and they need to be more like you.
69. Or if you're a young person and you can't communicate with those of the first generation‚ you don't see this as an attack of the Enemy on your unity. You think the older people are just being old fogies, old bottles, or that they're too conservative, they don't understand you. You don't really like them‚ anyway, and you think they're pretty much has-beens, that they've seen better days and now they just need to be put out to pasture and let you take over.
70. Or, whatever your generation, maybe you consider the nationals a little inferior because of their language, looks, culture, or lack of knowledge of the Word. You think they're too simple and too untrained, and you don't see your lack of love and respect as the lack of unity that it really is, not to mention pride.
71. If you won't let your husband or wife share with that single brother or sister in need, you don't see that as an attack on your unity. Instead you feel justified that, after all, you shared plenty in the past. Or if you didn't, well, you feel all that sharing and living the Law of Love is not all that necessary these days. It's nice in theory and it is based on Scripture, but it's not something that you need to be living today.
72. If you don't get along with your teamworker and there's a lot of friction between you and a lack of communication, you don't see that as an attack of the Enemy on your unity. Instead you just figure that, well, your personalities aren't the kind that get along well with one another. You just see things differently; you interpret and apply the Word differently and it's not that big a deal. You get by. You may not be very happy together or enjoy working together that much, but‚ hey‚ everybody's different, right? You just chalk it up to the fact that your personalities don't quite click.
73. If you don't get along with your peers, or you're loving with partiality and leaving some people out of your little clique, making people feel lonely, unloved and unattractive‚ you don't look at that as an attack of the Enemy on your unity. You just figure that it's the other person's fault; that if they weren't such a jerk or such a nerd, then maybe you and the others would like them better. You don't see that it's your fault for shutting them out and pushing them away. No, you just figure it's their fault because they're so self–righteous, or they're no fun to be around, or they're just not cool enough to be included in your little "in" clique.
74. If you don't want to bring the children of that single mother into your family group to help care for them, love them, be a father figure for them, and provide them with the stability, love, and encouragement they need, you don't see that as an attack of the Enemy on your unity. You just figure, "Well, hey, if the single mother had done a better job of taking care of her children, then they wouldn't be such rapscallions and such little terrors, and then maybe we'd be more willing to bring them in with our little darlings." So you figure it's her fault for being such a lousy mother. She got herself into this big mess, and now she has to pick up the pieces! It's her fault, not yours.
75. There are so many ways the Enemy attacks unity, yet so subtly, giving many excuses‚ justifications and reasons why the situation is what it is. All the while he is carefully concealing the fact that these conflicts, misunderstandings and loveless acts are inspired by him. They are attacks from him to destroy the unity and the oneness that I, the Lord, would want to give.
76. He wants to hinder, weaken and destroy unity. It's not just to make your life miserable and to steal away your joy—although that's one reason, yes—and not just to weaken your testimony so that the light of My love does not shine so brightly through you—and yes, that's another reason—but the greater reason is to stop the outpouring of My blessings of supply‚ protection, and fruitfulness.
77. The greater the darkness of this world that surrounds you, the greater must be My blessing, and therefore the greater must be your unity. The unity you have had in the past and in recent years and the unity you have now are not enough for the days that are to come. For gross darkness shall cover the Earth, and though you are called and chosen to be a light in the midst of this darkness, you will not have the power of My Spirit that you need unless you grow in unity.
78. Unity creates a vacuum and pulls down the blessings of God! Unity has drawing power! And as you wish for your anointing, power and strength to grow in the Endtime, so must your unity grow.
79. It is not an option or just good advice—it is a requirement! It is the condition that I place upon My people. I can only pour out My blessing, My anointing, My protection and My provision, which brings My fruitfulness, in proportion to the unity that you demonstrate.
80. You must grow in unity. You must grow in oneness. You must become truly one wife if you are to succeed in the mission that I have set before you.
81. As you learn more of the unity that I desire, you may feel that the cost is great. But I say to you, beware, and be not foolish in your judgment. The price you pay for the unity that I seek is nothing compared to what you will lose if you refuse to seek and find such unity.
82. You are My chosen people of the End—My voice‚ My mouthpiece, My face to the world! I shall raise you up and make of you a great people! My power shall be manifested as never before! There shall be a mighty widening of the eyes of those who look upon the children of David in the End! But you must desire this place‚ this calling, and this honor above anything! You must be willing to pay any price to secure My blessing and anointing. You must be willing to make any sacrifice to be a united body, one wife.
83. But I promise you, I swear to you that any sacrifice you make for the sake of unity will be rewarded so greatly that in time there will be no comparison between what you gave and what you received in return. You will look back on the day when you took a stand for unity, when you made a commitment for unity, and you will rejoice with great rejoicing! You will be so thankful that you did not fail, but that you said yes. For you will have seen with your own eyes that the battles at hand could not have been won without My full anointing of power, strength, and love. You will know and understand without a shadow of doubt that this full anointing would not have been possible had you not come before Me in the power of total unity.
84. Therefore, let unity reign! Let My chosen brides become one bride, one wife. Let there be a marriage of the two generations. Let there be a marriage of those of the same generation. Let there be a marriage of those who are single and those who are married. Let there be a marriage of the national new disciples and the Family–born young people. Let there be a great melting together until you are of one heart‚ one mind, one spirit‚ and one body. So will the windows of Heaven open to you, and I will pour out such a blessing that you will not have room enough to receive it! My promises will be fulfilled.
85. I place in your hands now the key to the windows of Heaven, the key of unity that will open the door and create a vacuum to pull down the blessings of God and make of you My great people for the End! (End of message from Jesus)

203. (Peter:) Next the Lord addresses a subject that is of great concern to many of us. This relates directly to us all—both you young people and us older ones—and that is the generation gap! Overcoming the generation gap is very important, and it's a huge topic, as I'm sure you realize. We have addressed the uniting of the two generations at various times in the pubs with such Letters as "Independence Through Dependency" (ML #2534)‚ "The PER" (ML #2865), "Loving Presentation" (ML #2894), and "Giving Teens Responsibility" (ML #2895). Various comments and opinions from you on this topic have also been included in the open forum section of the Grapevine.
204. As you'll read below, the Lord helps to explain the generation gap as it's manifested in the Family. He puts into words some of what each generation is thinking, and the natural tendencies many have to react negatively or unfairly to the other. While there are, of course, natural differences between the way most older and younger people think and act, their likes, dislikes and interests‚ He exposes the wrong attitude that it's natural or even expected to have a gap between the generations, and He encourages us that we can be truly united.
205. You ask, "Can I ever hope to understand the other generation?" Yes, you can! "Can there be unity—real, sweet, honest, strong unity—between the young people and those of the older generation?" Yes, there can be! The Lord has given more Word on this‚ which you will read soon; but for now, I hope this short message is encouraging and enlightening for you.
206. (Jesus speaking:) There are now two generations in the Family, and in many ways they are worlds apart. The distance between these two generations is a great hindrance to unity. This distance is brought about through lack of communication, lack of respect, and lack of prayer and seeking Me and hearing My voice to help you have the right attitudes and draw the right conclusions.
207. It's so very easy to misunderstand and misjudge someone. It's so very easy to put words in their mouth, or to put a negative spin on their reactions, desires or actions. Having unity between the two generations requires supernatural love and a desire to understand others, to be willing to put yourself in their place and try to understand things from their point of view, and to try to see what they may be feeling or suffering or battling.
208. It's so easy when things don't go well to just develop a negative attitude‚ a defeatist attitude, that it's impossible to work with those of the other generation. Many of the young ones draw the conclusion that the older ones are too conservative, they don't understand, they want to cramp the younger generation's style or their freedom, they're just being old bottles and want to do things their way, or they're just being lazy or stupid or overprotective or unwilling to change. Many of the older generation are quick to be judgmental, draw negative conclusions, expect the worst, and be critical of young people's different ways and unusual habits.
209. The older ones have had more time and experience carrying heavy responsibility, therefore they sometimes look at the younger ones' natural desire for change or spontaneity or variety as something that gets in the way of progress. Most of the older ones want to be faithful shepherds, parents and examples. They don't want to be old bottles and stuck in a rut, but often they're frustrated and tired and overburdened.
210. When you put these two positions together‚ the attitudes of the young and old, and some of the wrong conclusions that they easily come to, and then the resentments and negative feelings that grow between them, it's a tremendous attack on unity.
211. It's not enough for the older generation to be unified with those of their own generation; nor is it enough for the younger ones to be united with their peers. It's of utmost importance that the two generations be united with each other, that there be a strong bond of love and respect‚ and that each can recognize the strengths in the other.
212. Each of the two generations is needed. Each is crucial to the success and continuance of the Family. Each has their place in the Endtime plan. But without unity, each generation will be limited‚ and the plan and vision which I have for the children of David in the End will not be perfectly fulfilled; in fact, there will be a great, great lacking.
213. You don't see it now, for the generation gap or the lack of unity between the two generations doesn't seem to be that big a problem. You know that it exists‚ and at times it's very, very obvious, but many on both sides have just accepted that that's the way it is, that it's impossible for two generations to truly be united.
214. You compare yourselves with those of the world‚ and you think, "Oh well, we're doing so much better than the people our age in the System. Look, System kids are virtually at sword's point with their parents‚ and the parents are at wits' end, not knowing how to understand, instruct, lead and guide their children." So comparatively speaking, you think you're doing pretty well, and you come to the conclusion that a lack of unity is only natural and to be expected.
215. That is true with natural man, and if all you had to depend on were the carnal ways of this world, then you would have no other remedy but to accept what looks inevitable to you. But you are not limited to the ways of natural man‚ nor to carnal thoughts and solutions. You have for the asking the supernatural solutions of My Spirit and My Word, which will bring a supernatural unity—which, of course‚ you don't see in the people of the world, because it's Heaven-sent and Heaven-born.
216. I say to the children of David that there is much, much more Word to be given as far as unity between the two generations. I long for a beautiful bond of love and understanding which will bring much more happiness to your Homes and to you as individuals. I have much to say to you regarding the generation gap, which is a subtle, serious, deadly blow of the Enemy. You are only beginning the journey of unity between the two generations. But it is a beautiful, fruitful and pleasant journey for all those who seek to yield‚ humble themselves‚ and reach the desired haven.
217. Be not unwise by comparing yourselves with those of the world. Be not deceived by the Enemy's lies that a division between the generations is inevitable, and therefore it's acceptable that there be a generation gap. For all things are possible to him that believes. My love is all-encompassing, and with My love you can even love that which is unlovely in your sight, that which is difficult to understand, and that which brings frustration.
218. I have poured out streams and rivers of answers, solutions and direction‚ and will continue to do so. You have but to create a vacuum and drink in My Word and do your best to put it into practice, and you'll see clear-cut‚ immediate progress which will encourage you to make yet more progress. Step by step, slowly but surely, you'll see this gap closed, and there will no longer be a door for the Enemy to walk in and out of freely with his lies and accusations and resentments and critical thoughts, which are so effective in driving a wedge between the two generations. 37. (Mama:) Sometimes when problems go on for a long time, you lose faith that things will ever change. If you're a young person and you haven't gotten along with your shepherds or your parents for a long time, it's pretty easy to come to the conclusion that it's impossible, that you'll never understand the first generation, you'll never enjoy being with them or like working with them. So you pretty much decide that the best thing to do is just avoid adults at all costs; it's easier, simpler‚ and you'll avoid a lot of arguments that way. You figure you'll just go your own way and save yourself and others all the hassle, all the bickering, and all the frustration that comes with trying to understand each other.
38. It's possible that the thoughts that have been going through your head are something like this: "I know the adults are well-meaning. They try hard, but they just don't understand! They're living in a different world. They can't relate to me! They don't even remember what it's like to be young! If they did, they sure wouldn't be hassling me so much or getting on my case constantly. It's driving me nuts and I just want to be left alone!"
39. I can understand your feeling that way sometimes, but it's a shame when you do, because I think you miss a lot of opportunities where your much-needed talents, energy and ideas could be used‚ which would help your Home run more smoothly and be more fruitful. You'd probably grow a lot more, too. I think even your ministry training suffers, because you can't benefit from the opportunities that would come your way if you were working more in unity with the first generation.
40. Also, you miss out on one side of life that could bring you a special kind of joy, friendship, and fulfillment. Of course, being with older adults probably won't ever be like working with or hanging around with your friends that are your age. But you can't expect the older generation to be exactly the same as you or your friends. They're different! After all, most of them are at least twice your age—ha! But you do have a lot in common if you'd just try to see it and build on those common interests. I think you'd find out that the adults can be a lot more cool and a lot more fun and a lot bigger support and help in your life than you realize!
41. Now looking at it from the point of view of the older generation: A similar scenario has probably happened with many of you—you've sort of cut yourself off from the younger generation. You know you're not good at communicating with young people. You feel that they don't like you and you don't naturally get along with them. It's not even that enjoyable for you to be around them. You feel awkward, clumsy‚ and self-conscious.
42. So after a while, after making a few feeble efforts to reach out to them to try to be friends or to try to offer counsel or understanding, you just figure, "Well, hey, forget it! It's not worth it. I'm just not a young people type of person. I never was a very good teen shepherd. I hardly even get along with my own teens that well. So I'll just stick to my knittin' and I won't get involved. I'll just do what I can do, the things that I'm good at, and let somebody else work with the young people. Sure, I know that they need help, they need direction, support, friendship, and I can see a lot of areas where they're kind of floundering, but it just doesn't work for me to talk to them or to get involved."
43. But when you adults adopt that attitude, the very sad result is that then all the precious lessons that you've learned, the hard–fought battles you've won, the experience you've had and the wisdom the Lord has given you as a result go to waste—when actually‚ it's part of the Lord's plan. It's His solution to the needs of the young people for you to share with them all that precious wealth of knowledge and experience you have stored up.
44. And you know what? You may find some wonderful friends and co-workers in the younger generation! They'll rejuvenate you‚ help you to regain some of your old spark, and they're just fun to be with! But if you don't reach out, give them your time, try to understand them and communicate with them, and give the Lord a chance to work in your life‚ you'll miss all those blessings!
45. I know how easy it is, no matter what your age, young or old, to slowly, gradually settle down, to where you end up just accepting problems and letting them go on and on. You coexist with things that you know aren't right, just because you've lost faith and you've given up the fight‚ or because you don't know what to do to change things or how to change things—especially if it means you personally have to change or get needed victories, which look pretty difficult or even hopeless. Sometimes you feel you just don't have it in you. You've tried, but it just hasn't worked, and now you're tired and weary with it all, and you've pretty much just given up.
46. I think that's what's happened with both you older adults and you young people when it comes to the generation gap. You've gotten used to the disagreements, the tension, the lack of joy in your relationship, so that now you don't even realize that the Enemy has come in and driven a strong, hard wedge between you. You think, "Oh, that's just the way it is. It's to be expected. It's natural." And that would probably be true if all you had to depend on was the natural man. But it's not impossible to be united and have a loving enjoyable relationship between you when you have God and His love.
126. We went through so many precious experiences together which drew us close in spirit. Although our times of fellowship and recreation were very enjoyable‚ what really united us was our work together for the Lord. As we accepted each other and worked together, and as we grew to admire each other and see each other's gifts and talents, we became very united.
127. As the young people grew into their anointing and took on greater responsibilities‚ we of the first generation began to see them as the well-trained, well-prepared, mature, dependable soldiers they are. And as the young people understood more clearly all that the older ones had been through, they learned to appreciate the sacrifices they had made to live behind the scenes for so many years. They also began to recognize the wisdom of the older ones. As a result, our second generation members became more open, more appreciative of the older adults, and gained greater respect for them. The young people had to make a choice to become united with the older adults. They had to also make a commitment to enter into a closer relationship with them.
128. When we look back and try to analyze how it all happened‚ and think, "What was it that brought us together, that gave us such unity and love for one another?" I'd have to say that it was not any one thing, but it was a combination of many things. It was our working together for the Lord and our learning to respect others by seeing the load and responsibility they were willing to carry for the Lord and the Family. It was our sharing experiences in the Spirit together—praying together, hearing from the Lord together, following the movements of the Spirit together. It was our loving the Lord together intimately, our sharing sexually together (with those of age), our enjoying our times of get-out, recreation and fellowship together. It was our willingness to be honest and to open our hearts to each other.
129. All of these things worked together, and as time passed, we found that our love for each other grew. Our need for one another and our dependence on one another became so much more apparent, and the idea of two generations, the younger and the older‚ became less and less important. We were all becoming one—One Wife—as we lived together, worked together‚ loved together‚ prayed together, obeyed together and stepped out by faith together.
130. You just can't help but love and respect someone more when you see them make difficult choices and humble themselves to follow the Lord and obey. For example, we learned to appreciate each other more when we saw the willingness of the others to do the humble thing and obey in such things as receiving stories from the spirit world after the Lord gave the revelation published in "Spirit Stories!—Parts 1 and 2." (See GNs 733 and 737.) It also caused us to respect one another when we would see each other striving to exercise our gifts of prophecy, both personally and in public meetings. And we couldn't help but love each other more when we'd see our loved ones humble themselves to ask for public united prayer when they needed help to overcome their weaknesses or battles with such things as jealousy‚ pride, sensitivity, negative thinking, unyieldedness‚ etc.
131. It was also a big step when the young adults (21 and over), decided to begin having dates with the older generation. The wonderful intimacy and heart-to-heart communication that came about as a result of the sexual sharing was precious, and I'm convinced that it had a lot to do with bringing about the great unity and oneness that we now experience. In addition, the close interaction, fellowship and heart–sharing brought about as a natural result of our sexual sharing has helped both young and old make it over the hurdles as we grow closer in love.

51. (Peter: ) Remember, the move toward greater unity between the two generations is not synonymous with love relationships or sex. Yes, there will be some relationships developing and there will be sexual sharing, but that is not the primary goal. What the Lord is looking for is the overall unity of our whole Family—more love‚ caring, sacrificing, giving, and sharing between both generations. He wants to see us learn to work together better so we can be more fruitful. He wants to see the Family tap into the talents, gifts and strength of the younger generation to a much greater degree, to the point that the older ones will allow the younger ones the place that is their due, so that they can stand side by side with the older generation, helping to carry the load.
52. Dear Family‚ both you of the older generation and you younger ones, won't you please open your hearts and lives to one another? Whatever it is that might be holding you back—whether it be fear of the future, jealousy, bitterness or just thinking that you don't get along and you can't understand each other—bring it to the Lord. Seek Him desperately for the answers and victories that you need, and He won't fail you. What He's done for Mama and me and those in our Home‚ He can do for you!
53. Reach out today and break down the walls! Open the lines of communication. Just make the first step, even a little tiny step, toward unity and love and mutual respect, and the Lord will meet you! Step by step you'll gather momentum, and before long you'll really be rolling! And then you'll look back with amazement on these days of decision, this time when the Lord asked you to make a commitment, to leave the old behind and to begin again‚ not as two generations, not as the young and the old, but as one.
54. As the Lord has said, this unity is a marriage made in Heaven. The Enemy will fight it because he knows of the great strength and victories that will come as a result. But we are confident that as you call out to the Lord with all your hearts to help you make the changes you need, He'll bring the victory and defeat the attacks of the Enemy. And we'll go on to become the strong‚ united, unbeatable Endtime army that the Lord wants us to be!
55. Praise the Lord! God bless and keep you! I know you can do it because the Lord can do it through you! He has sufficient love, grace, understanding and strength. Look to Him and He'll never fail you‚ and you'll find that this unity is truly Heavenly and will bring you such joy.
